Suggested Rubric

Due to time constraints, teachers may select to only have their students write the Rihla. Or they may decide to have students select only one option from the list of additional activities. For this reason, a rubric is difficult to create as it can vary widely depending upon how much time and effort a teacher devotes to various aspects of this project. If all suggestions are followed--writing a Rihla, two short activities, and a Celebration of Learning--a suggested rubric would be divided as follows:

Rihla 50% of overall grade
Optional Activity # 1 15% of overall grade
Optional Activity # 2 15% of overall grade
Involvement in class set-up 5% of overall grade
Celebration of Learning 15% of overall grade

Total 100%
